Our Spotlight Artist this time is Mr. Entertainment. We asked him a couple questions.
Q: do you think defines an artist 'success' these days?
A: I think to define success these days an artist needs a solid home base because without one their is no future for the artist. A home bas crowd is where if an artist fails in reaching a big label he/she can still play at local spots and not be seen as an outsider.

Q: How can an artist reach their fans in a cluttered-media environment like we have today? What's the value in maintaining and enhancing the relations with the fan, how's that translate into the 'success'?
A: In order to reach fans an artist needs to give out free or low costing music as much as possible. The artist also needs to be able to create a way for their fans to reach them instantly. The value of doing both is highly important because without recognition no one will know who you are. People say it takes 20 times for someone to remember a name and for an artist its the same way. The more people that know who you are as an artist and what you do as artist the more success will come your way.

Q: What brought you to think of Mobile? What do you expect that will happen with mobile, is it different from other marketing channels?
A: Doing mobile marketing is a new way to reach fans in an instant. Mobile marketing is different because before you didn't have the choice to use your phone to listen and vote on music. Before you had to go on the Internet to do such things. I think mobile marketing is a great futuristic tool once all the bugs have figured out.

Q: Why now? (it's early for mobile, why sweat it?)
A: Technology changes everyday so learning and using mobile marketing is never to early to start on creating a real connection with fans that use their phones as an essential part of their lives.

Q: Why Adva Mobile, what did you like about Adva Mobile's service, what didn't you like?A: Adva Mobile is one of the best tools that I know of for mobile marketing. They let you create custom content to be able to get the fans connected. I haven't encountered a problem with Adva Mobile as of yet. I would recommend the service to any artist or company that I know of.
